DO YOU STRETCH ENOUGH?
If you’re anything like many people I know you may struggle with the discipline to actually, properly stretch!
A workout always seems the important part and as long as you do a few quick stretches here and there that is enough isn’t it?
My answer would be a flat “No” ....
Having had a dancers training, stretching has always been a big part of my life. I was always extremely flexible and could move my body anywhere it wanted to go....once!
So even though I stretch regularly I would say I am no where near as flexible as I used to!
So if you start off a little immobile and inflexible how will you be as you age, especially if you have the kind of lifestyle where you sit lots, drive lots or rarely move as the body is intended to? Well, less mobile and flexible! And it doesn’t feel good not to be able to move properly, bend down to pick something up off the floor or to simply stretch to the top shelf!
However, often we don’t address things until they are obvious to us and with stretching that’s often the case.
